Welcome!

Welcome to my website and my blogs! This is the first one so I felt it should be special. My name is Nicholas Helish if you didn’t read the about page.

This is after 10 years of working in the game industry I finally had time to make my own website. To be honest I hate web development too so I was putting it off, then humanity got some fancy LLM technology that knows all about web development and all of my problems were solved(sorta)!

I thought it would be a fun time to just share some pictures of my cat Gatica, pronounced Gah-tee-ca.

So this was when I first got her, she was 4 months old at the time. This was how I found out how she LOVED to cuddle and be warm under blankets.

This was when we had just moved into a nice townhouse and I could turn on the lights with my phone using google home. She was sitting in my lap and I turned them on and she was spooked by it, she didn’t know how to react so she just blankly stared and I took a picture.

Sharing it with friends caused her to become an emoji.

This is a common sight when she’s in my lap where she is falling asleep.

This was one where she was sorta tired but also trying to stay awake and just watching me while I worked on my computer.

I took a closeup picture as well haha.

Well I should probably provide an explanation for the Lighthouse, for those that knew me before I had that online handle it was Oldsiren. Well, there’s a personal story involved that I decided to change the direction of how my life would go and also it was an inside joke. To let you know the joke, essentially it was that Lighthouses rotate on the Yaw axis… Hopefully you got it :D
